New CIArb ODR Program for Telecommunications
The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the UK has launched the Communications & Internet Services Adjudication Scheme - also known as CISAS. CISAS is one of only two services of its kind to be approved by Government regulators. It is intended to help when individuals have a dispute with a communications company or internet service provider who is registered with CISAS.
The scheme is operated in association with UK's leading internet service trade association and communications companies such as Orange. T-Mobile and Telewest with a combined market share of in excess of 50% of the mobile market. Very interesting...
Learn more on the CISAS Program website at arbitrators.org.

GBDe and Consumers International Agreement on ODR
Some folks might remember the disagreement a few years ago between the business-focused organizations and the consumer-focused organizations on ODR. (In a nutshell, business-focused orgs wanted mandatory mediation (and sometimes arbitration) ODR processes to protect against liability, while consumer-focused organizations were worried that these processes would be abused and unfair). Well, there appears to have been a rapprochement of sorts -- the Global Business Dialogue on eCommerce (a business-focused organization) has just put out an ODR standards document alongside Consumers International (a consumer-focused organization). It's a good read, and it's very real world.
Check it out.

New ICC ODR Best Practices Documents
The International Chamber of Commerce got a lot of attention a few years ago for its proposal to be a global ODR clearinghouse. The idea was a good one, but they eventually decided to put their resources elsewhere (though a lot of the work they did on that project ended up in their global inventory of ODR providers.) However, in conjunction with Scott Cooper of HP, the ICC has put out some really good ODR documents lately.
Resolving Disputes Online: Best Practices for ODR in B2C and C2C Transactions
and
Putting it Right: Best Practices for Customer Redress in Online Business
Kudos to Scott, Ayesha, and everyone else involved at the ICC. Five stars. Joe Bob says check 'em out.

New Belgian Article on ODR and the UDRP
For those with an interest in articles in French, which are still rather infrequent, here is a reference to an excellent LLM paper. Among other things, it provides a good bibliographical overview of French ODR resources:
