ODR sessions at ACR-Sacramento conference

There are going to be a couple good ODR sessions at the 2004 ACR Conference, "Valuing Peace in the 21st Century: Expanding the Art and Practice of Conflict Resolution" from September 29-October 2, 2004 in Sacramento, California.

The first one, "Squaretrade Mediators: Learning about ODR from Each Other," will be a roundtable providing a forum for Squaretrade and other online mediators to come together to discuss the benefits, challenges, and strategies employed in online mediation. "Attendees will have the opportunity to network and problem-solve with others and to discuss the ongoing changes occurring in online mediation."

The second, featuring yours truly, Dan Rainey, and Ethan Katsh, is titled "Integrating Online Dispute Resolution Technology and Mediation: An Example from Government ." We'll discuss the development and results of the National Mediation Board's ODR program. Panelists will discuss the impact and limits of technology on the mediation of labor-management disputes, as well as implications for other agencies.

Hope to see you there!
