How can companies and individuals with a view to avoiding costly legal battles by provide fast and cost-effective online alternatives to the resolution of disputes?

To facilitate the resolution of these conflicts Juripax has developed unique and highly innovative solutions that integrate ICT-tools in combination with online mediation and arbitration services. Juripax is the first provider of multilingual ODR services worldwide.
The presentation will explore how on-line mediation processes compare to off-line proceedings and demonstrate how in specific circumstances, on-line proceedings can be as effective as, if not more effective than, those in off-line settings. In this context, I will also address the role and responsibilities of the third party neutral and the technology underlying (referred to as the fourth party) online dispute resolution systems.

Fourth International Workshop on Online Dispute Resolution
This Friday (June 8, 2007) the Fourth International Workshop on Online Dispute Resolution, held in conjunction with the 11th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & Law (ICAIL) at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
This workshop will be a full day meeting at the offices of eBay in San Jose, California. The meeting will be hosted by Colin Rule, Arno R. Lodder & John Zeleznikow.
