Chittu Nagarajan

Chittu Nagarajan is the co-founder of Modria.com, and Managing Director of Modria India.  She also founded ODRworld and ODRindia, the first Online Dispute Resolution Service Provider in India in 2004. She served as Head of the eBay and Pay Pal Community Court initiative.

Chittu is a Fellow of the National Centre for Technology and Dispute Resolution, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, U.S.A and served as the Conference Chair for the 10th International Online Dispute Resolution Working Forum, held from February 7-9, 2011 in Chennai, India.

Chittu has a Legal Practicing Certificate and is a trained Mediator. Chittu’s passion is in Online Dispute Resolution, Micro-justice, Conflict Prevention and Resolution, Cyberlaws, E-commerce, and Intellectual Property. Chittu’s first degree is in History whilst her second degree is in Law. She holds a Masters in Alternative Dispute Resolution to E-commerce disputes.

Chittu has supervised several Masters Students in the United States including Harvard. Chittu is a Regular Guest Speaker at several Universities in Malaysia and India where she speaks on Intellectual Property, Mediation and Online Dispute Resolution. Chittu also conducts workshops for various companies in India and Malaysia in the areas of Online Dispute Resolution, Negotiation Skills, Conflict Management and Intellectual Property.

Chittu was a speaker at the International Online Dispute Resolution Forum in December 2007, Hong Kong; the United Nations Online Dispute Resolution Forum in June 2008,Victoria, Canada; the International Online Dispute Resolution Forum in June 2009, Haifa, Israel; the International symposium on Online Dispute Resolution, September 2009, Barcelona, Spain and the International Online Dispute Resolution Forum in June 2010, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Chittu was a speaker at the Micro-finance course conducted by the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and is a Regular Evaluator at the International Competitions for Online Dispute Resolution.
